Title I is a government funded program that provides academic assistance for children in targeted areas who are performing at 50% or below on nationally normed achievement tests in reading, language arts and math. Funding for the Title I program is provided by the federal government through the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). The Title I Program offers supplemental educational services so that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education. Service provision is a collaborative effort by ESSA instructional personnel, classroom teachers, school administration, and parents to give our children more individual attention in the areas of math and reading.
